In 1987, after training for the Seoul Summer Olympics, Denise Anderson embarks on a personal journey and dedicates her life and career to individuals with special needs and disabilities.
While still in high school in Lubbock, Texas, Denise begins Adaptive Gymnastics and partners with a local YMCA. Word spreads quickly and so does her program. By the early 1990's, she is well established throughout The Panhandle and West Texas.
In 2000, Denise relocates to the Dallas/Fort Worth area to build a larger platform and reach more children. The name is changed to Special Needs Gymnastics and launches both statewide and nationwide from 2003 to 2007.
After extensive traveling and implementing the program, Denise successfully institutes Special Needs Gymnastics worldwide in 2008.
In 2017, Special Needs Gymnastics begins rebranding as SNG to integrate and promote additional programs, including swimming, cycling, life skills, and fitness.
In 2018, after years of volunteering as a coach, Denise's husband Derek joins SNG to handle communication and development.
